When councils introduced Magical Park, families experienced the world’s first geolocated augmented reality playground, turning public parks into fun adventures long before it became mainstream. In 2024, we celebrated councils using Magical Park at the SA/NT Parks & Leisure Australia Awards, where the project won Best Use of Technology for transforming everyday parks into magical AR playgrounds. The recognition highlighted how communities can use playful innovation to bring people together.
